I have had the last three days off work and I am going crazy. I've been like, sleeping 'til 2 and going out and not getting to bed 'til like 5 a.m. I really hate to say this but I think I am too old for this shit. Now for some fantastic news in MY life. I got my job at clinique back! YAAAAAAY. I missed this job SO bad. Seriously, I get to do art on peoples faces all day and learn about skin and make people feel beautiful and PLUS I even got to be in someones wedding album.....TWICE! And they came back to give me a copy of the picture :) It's fantastic. Plus, you wouldn't think it but I got paid more working in cosmetics than fine jewelry. Weird huh? Oh, I am so excited.

On another note, I will be moving in with Sir Berk Gibbs within the next month, and misses Amy!!! How exciting. Good times will be had! Also, if anyone is tryin' to have an art show sometime, HIT ME UP. I am itching to show my new stuff. Stuff you haven't even SEEN yet! Stuff that will BLOW YE MIND!

So if you are wondering where to get really great blank nesting dolls to paint on, you really need to get them from www.matrioshka-gift-shop.com .
I received my set a few weeks ago and I am very satisfied with the quality. I had another set but was hesitant to paint them because the bases were a seperate piece of wood and was peeling away from the large of the doll. These are great and take paint smoothly, and of course I still reccomment soft body paint for these little ladies:

So Yeah, I'm finally updating something other than my myspace! ~~I am looking forward to another art show.~~ I am itching for another art show! The next one in the works is at Rumours Boutique, a quaint ( and SUPER affordable) little nook off Harrison St. in the heart of the fan in Richmond, Va. You know, the usual: Super hero DJ's, some dancin', some artin', some friends and some dranks. I'm trying to organize a sweet little graffiti wall that will be permenant hopefully within Rumours somewhere. Anyways, it's still in the works so keep watchin' out for a flyer! And here are a few new pieces:

SO, I've been a busy bee with work and everything. I've decided that this should be the place where I update rather than a website right now so bookmark me! Right now I'm just uploading a ton of old stuff so take a look and expect new stuff from now on!

I just finished up a few new pieces now that I am in full illustrator mode 120% times a million. Seriously! I mean, me and illustrator have only been going out for like a year but I think he may be trying to get to third base with me. And I am SO ready.

I know, really weird of me huh.

I really liked doing this one because, even though my reference was pretty good, I had to wing most of it. I really like the colors. Am I critiqing my own work? Ew blegh.

Went to the Pretty Tasty gathering last night and got introduced to a few of the members. I can't quite remember who met....other than obviously thestuntkid (jason levesque) and lizzelizzel (liz henry). I think I may have met Mr.B? Maybe? And this really nice couple from Pittsburgh. I know Lucien was there with a gaggle of friends...Dang! Who did I meet! Anyways it was fun. They held it at the boot:

So what is everyone doing for New Years Eve? I'm heading up to lovely RVA to experience the ball drop with my best friend, my one and only Drew B!

Besides, I miss Richmond and the ball drop last year was crazy. Drew informs me that there is an estimate of 55 THOUSAND to attend this year. There were only 15,000 last year. WHOA WHOA WHOA.

I think she is sassy, and I like that in a woman. She's a sassy full-figured blood-sucker, mother fucker!!

Oh and by the way, you should check out these awesome Lumen shadow votives. Designer Adam Frank plays with lots of interactive light doo-dads. This one is my favorite

They are super affordable at only $48. You should totally check out his website because they come in like 3 different kinds of trees, and two kind of birds. Really pretty.

So, It's definatly 3:43am. My sleeping is strange but I plan to fix that soon. I hate being jobless!! Why can't my rich man come save me NOOOOW. Boo hoo. Anywaays. I have been on the web a whole lot. Good news you ask? YES! I got a flickr so this whole LJ thing will be smooth and easy, just how momma likes it. Awesome lady, Lizzel , totally pushed me back into this thing. Sooo if it backfires, I get her bunny. We didn't really discuss this but it's gonna go down like that. SO, lots of stuff to cover...but its too late so I will just leave you with this comfy little screen shot of the movie I watched tonight, which surprisingly enough, I enjoyed.

This is a big deal for me! I haven't been able to start a website yet, so having something i can update and not worry about dealing with myspace-like drama is faaaaantastic! What to say..what to saaay...Well, I have been working a lot, about 60 hours a week. Busch Gardens is a bunch of fun and I really do enjoy most of the people I work with. If I do come back next season, I would like to switch to park operations, I think. They have a more mature group working in park ops. Speaking of work, I haven't really had much time to art in the past month or two because of it. I've got a whole bunch of ideas crammed in my noggin and I am ITCHING to get them out.
I was able to work in illustrator long enough one night to get something out...
